Emergency underground power repairs.

We were recently contacted to undertake the emergency repair of damaged underground electricity cables at a rural property in Gimpy.

Contractors were excavating the site in preparation for a new driveway and, whilst digging to install the drainage, they damaged the underground power cables.

Needless to say, this was an extremely dangerous situation and we were called onsite to undertake emergency repairs so the electricity could be reinstated.

Using fault location equipment, we were able to pinpoint the precise location of the fault.  We could then safely excavate the site and repair the damaged cables so the power supply could be reinstated ASAP.

We reported to Energex that the fault had been repaired. Before reinstating the power supply, an Energex contractor must attend the site to confirm the fault has been safely repaired. Satisfied with our work, the electricity supply was reinstated.
